Sea of Thieves is a multiplayer, co-op pirate game in which players sail the seas in search of treasure and adventure. This list ranks the best hats you can find in this game.

Sea of Thieves is a game that has just released. It’s an open-world pirate adventure game where players can find treasure, fight enemies, and explore the world. In this article I am going to be ranking the best hats in the game from worst to first.

In Sea of Thieves, you may wear anything you want, but let’s face it: no pirate will take you seriously as captain unless you’re wearing a magnificent hat.

There’s a mountain of hats to wade through in the realm of headgear, no matter what you’re searching for. So, how are you going to choose only one?

Don’t fret, matey; I’ve got you covered.

Stonewall Imperial Sovereign Hat (No. 15)

Stonewall Imperial Sovereign Hat / Sea of Thieves

Let’s get this list started with something really unusual.

The Stonewall Imperial Sovereign Headgear is a silver metal hat that appears more like something from a war game than a pirate costume.

Unfortunately, it’s only for show; I believe most shots in this game would just bounce off of it.

With the proper clothing, this may look good, but it can also seem as though you were invited to a fancy dress party and misread the dress code.

Ruffian Sea Dog Hat (#14)

Ruffian Sea Dog Hat / Sea of Thieves

What if you don’t want to wear a hat but yet want to put anything on your head?

I’d describe you as picky, but the General Clothing Shop has you covered.

And this Ruffian Sea Dog Hat is more like a bandanna than a hat, which has its own set of benefits.

Because it doesn’t stand out, it’s a good option for tucking.

It also works well as a handkerchief if you’re unhappy over losing a voyage’s worth of riches.

Any bilge rat will appreciate this headgear.

Grimy Bilge Rat Hat (No. 13)

Sea of Thieves / Grimy Bilge Rat Hat

You can’t go wrong with the Grimy Bilge Rat Hat if you simply want a simple pirate hat.

As long as you don’t mind the blue trim, this is the closest you’ll come to a classic pirate hat. It’s also has some shabby stitching across the front.

This item looks like it’s gone through the battles, and simply wearing it could get you in trouble.

However, it looks the part and is accessible to everyone for 61,200 Gold…

That’s a lot of money for a shabby hat!

12. Sovereign Crown Hat

Regal Sovereign Hat / Sea of Thieves

I’m sure I’m not the only one who thought Puss in Boots had a great hat!

If you’re in the same boat and want to dress up like one of the coolest cats around, this hat is a near match.

The Regal Sovereign Hat, which costs 61,200 gold and comes with a full rim, a clever gold decal, and a long trailing yellow feather, is available at the General Clothing Shop.

A great fit for any swashbuckler who also happens to be a cat owner.

11. Ocean Crawler Hat in Azure

Azure Ocean Crawler Hat / Sea of Thieves

Finding an outfit with a dash of color that isn’t too garish may be difficult.

I’ve found a hat to go with the ensemble, at the very least.

The Azure Ocean Crawler Hat is a stylish blue hat with crisp features on the front and a neat gold trim.

The crab legs that someone added to the hat are, admittedly, dubious. But, altogether, it’s a stylish hat.

You’ll need to bring 25 prize fish to the Hunters Call to get your hands on it, so it may be time to take the crew fishing.

10. The Silent Barnacle’s Hat

Hat of the Silent Barnacle / Sea of Thieves

Now that the waters are monitored by furious sirens as well as ravenous sharks, wreck diving is more hazardous than ever…

In Sea of Thieves, you’ll need to deliver 300 shipwrecked treasures (most frequently discovered on shipwrecks) to obtain the Hat of the Silent Barnacle, which demonstrates your skill of underwater warfare.

That’s quite a number of chests.

So it’s a little cheeky that you’ll also have to spend almost 100,000 Gold for the headgear.

But, who knows, maybe it’ll frighten the sirens away.

9. Hat with a Crimson Corsair Sea Dog

Crimson Corsair Sea Dog Hat / Sea of Thieves

This hat made the list because it’s simple, elegant, and doesn’t break apart like a lot of the other hats in the game.

The Crimson Corsair Sea Dog Hat is a stylish classic tricorne with a crimson feather and a delicate green accent. And it’ll look great on the head of any captain!

With this on, you’ll blend in on the high seas, but we all know how essential the feather on the hat is.

And the feather was clearly taken from a tiny bird, as you can see.

Distinguished Admiral Hat (number 8)

Distinguished Admiral Hat / Sea of Thieves

This is one for a self-assured captain, as the name implies!

The Distinguished Admiral hat seems to be just that.

It’s neat and tidy, with thoughtful touches and trimmings.

To be honest, this would look better on a commander in an imperial fleet than on a pirate’s skull!

You’ll seem to be able to take charge of a ship with ease, but given that this cap is accessible to everyone, don’t be shocked if you’re asked to prove it.

Hat for the Cultured Aristocrat

Cultured Aristocrat Hat / Sea of Thieves

If you like to stay in the captain’s quarters and issue orders rather than getting your hands filthy on deck, I’ve got the hat for you.

The Cultured Aristocrat Hat is an opulent gold and white design that seems to have never been worn.

Because you have to kill another crew with a Peaceball while traveling under the Reaper’s Bones Emissary to unlock this for purchase, more experienced pirates will realize it may simply indicate you’re more of a strategy.

Who says you have to kill your opponent in order to win a fight?

Battlehat of the Rising Morningstar

Rising Morningstar Battlehat / Sea of Thieves

The only reason this hat isn’t higher on the list is because it’s hard to find at the time of writing.

The Rising Morningstar Battlehat, on the other hand, is a lovely hat, with a dull red trim and a stunning tuft of white fur (I’m curious how they got it!)

This was a Twitch Drop in 2020, and there has been no way to get it since then.

Maybe it’ll wind up in the General Clothing Shop one day. However, you’ll have to make do with the other headgear on this list until then.

5. Hat of Forsaken Ashes

Forsaken Ashes Hat / Sea of Thieves

One of the greatest things about Sea of Thieves is that if you’re willing to put in the effort, you can acquire a ton of amazing cosmetics.

This is an excellent illustration.

The Forsaken Ashes Cap is a flaming burning black pirate hat with fire embellishments. It’s also appropriate since you’ll need the Master Devil’s Voyager title to get it.

I hope you’re not scared of volcanic eruptions, boiling water, geysers, and falling flaming boulders of death since this title is reserved for those courageous enough to perform a lot of labor in the Devil’s Roar… Best of luck!

4. Hat with Silver Blades

Silver Blade Hat / Sea of Thieves

The headgear, like the rest of the Silver Blade cosmetics, is stunning.

With its distinctive white, silver, and jade color combination, the Silver Blade Hat is clever and elegant.

It’s almost a pity that the majority of Pirates will never get to see it.

Why? This headgear is a prize for playing the game’s Insider build, which is a test server that can be found on the official Sea of Thieves website.

And you’ll need to play for at least an hour a week for 90 weeks to get this cap! That’s correct.

To unlock it, you’ll need to play for almost two years.

A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the community’s most devoted pirates.

3. Sovereign Hat of Majesty

Majestic Sovereign Hat / Sea of Thieves

You don’t have to spend hundreds of hours playing before you can put on your own fashionable feathered hat.

The Majestic Sovereign Hat is available for just 6800 Gold from the start!

That price is a bargain for a neat hat with a stylish belt and a large plume of white feathers.

The hat itself seems to have been worn a lot and perhaps blown up a few times.

However, after your first few trips, this is one of the finest caps you can purchase.

2. Victorious Sea Dog Hat

Triumphant Sea Dog Hat / Sea of Thieves

Look at that feather! This is one of the most stunning and gorgeous items in the game.

But don’t get too attached, since if you want one, you’ll have to go through hell (well, Arena mode) to acquire one.

Even if you’re a seasoned PVP player, you should be wary about engaging anybody wearing this headgear.

You’ll need 100 victories in Arena mode to obtain the Triumphant Sea Dog Hat, and you’ll also need to be wearing at least 5 items of Glorious Sea Dog gear.

This is a ridiculous unlock condition.

If you succeed, you’ll be awarded with one of the game’s most valuable cosmetics.

Hat for Dark Adventurers No. 1

Dark Adventurers Hat / Sea of Thieves

This headgear gives the impression that you are in charge of a whole fleet rather than just a ship.

The Dark Adventurers Hat is a beautiful black hat with a neat trim, the signature red skull, and an absurdly huge plume of feathers to boot!

You’ll need to be a Pirate Legend to acquire this cap, and you’ll almost certainly need to hijack a fleet to get the 2,750,000 Gold you’ll need!

The Dark Adventurers Hat, like the rest of the set, is a fantastic long-term pursuit item to strive for.

And if you put in the effort, you’ll be rewarded with one of the greatest caps ever seen on the Sea of Thieves.

The sea of thieves all ship skins is a list of the best hats in Sea of Thieves. The list includes each hat’s rarity, what it looks like, and its stats.
